The existing slope stability research, which is based on the fluid–solid coupling theory, mainly focused slopes of central and eastern China. impact rainfall dump has often been ignored. It worthwhile to reveal mechanism mechanics in arid desertification area northwest China under maximum precipitation. method combining seepage theory with geomechanics was adopted. Darcy’s law mass conservation were introduced derive establish analysis method. Taking Xinxing Coal Mine Wuhai City, China, as an example, finite element software ABAQUS used construct model for unsaturated soil. equivalent intensity 68 mm/h 1 h 18 24 designed simulation, respectively. Four different types initial water content (i.e., 1.72%, 7.34%, 14.69%, 22.03%) defined conditions. high-steep compared standard slope. Therefore, a set sixteen schemes proposed. variation regularity thoroughly discussed regards four areas: vertical deformation, pore pressure distribution, plastic strain, safety factor.
